Life at Ashgrove
Daily Activities
Our Activities team provide a weekly timetable of activities including games, movement to music, crafting activities; pamper sessions, singing sessions and cinema evenings. A church service is also accessed by our residents who wish to attend the home once a month.
Day Trips
External activities are also organised for those residents who wish to participate, family involvement is welcomed and encouraged. We encourage family members, particularly spouses to join us on these trips and activities where they can, enabling you to maintain the bond between you and your loved one.
Seasonal Events
We hold in-house raffles several times a year, notably at Summer and at Christmas time which raise funds for our group activities. We also have in-house entertainment with choirs and singing groups coming to perform to our residents. Our garden is well maintained and residents are encouraged to sit out and enjoy it in the summer months.
Care Provided
Living in a care home can seem like quite a daunting prospect but, our staff are fully trained and work hard to ensure that your loved ones feel happy and cared for enjoying a fulfilled life.
Staff are encouraged to 1:1 time with the residents having a chat over a cup of tea or reminiscing over photographs and memories and to facilitate this, we have a key worker system in place. This means residents have a carer who will act as their point of contact during their time at the home.
Other Provisions
Ashgrove Care Home ensures that your loved ones are well looked after and that medical attention continues as normal. We facilitate dental services when required and the opticians at regular intervals throughout the year. Extra services, which are chargeable, such as the hairdresser or chiropodist are provided by visiting professionals. We have a weekly GP round and remain in close contact with family members about any developments in health. Our Manager, Deputy and Senior staff are always on hand to discuss any questions or concerns.
*Please note that in-house activities are free, any extra trips such as bowling, or the garden centre are chargeable.

Located in the heart of Netherton in Dudley, life at Ashgrove is full of hustle and bustle. When you walk into Ashgrove you will be made to feel warmly welcome with a cheery ‘hello’ and a smile. We’re a lively home and we love to have a range of activities on offer for all our residents.
